Occupations
Knowing your ancestors occupation can be a real help when researching your family tree. Records about occupation may let you know more about your ancestors life and family. Some Irish occupational sources include: records of freemen, service records of the Royal Irish Constabulary, Alumni and member biographical sketches, and Military records.
Guild members may wish to contact the Guildhall Library, Aldermanbury, London EC2P 2EJ, England. Note: most Irish guild members may have been listed in English resource publications.
