Newspapers

Pre-1750 newspapers include very little local news and other news of genealogical value. Ireland was slow to start a newspaper industry and many local towns didn't actually have papers until the 1800's. After the 1800s announcements on birth, marriages and deaths became more common in the local papers. Copies of Irish newspapers are stored in the local libraries and archives. The LDS church has very few filmed.
